Galateia Gowns aim to help you find that perfect dress at a price you can afford.   We have many restored second-hand or sample gowns in stock with prices ranging from £150 to £500.  You can make a private appointment to try on our wedding dresses in relaxed, informal surroundings.  We sell "off the peg" (although we do have a seamstress for alterations) so we can help you if you are in a hurry.

Accessories: We have a range of veils, tiaras, gloves and a selection of bridesmaids dresses.

Location: Somerset Road, Just off the Wells Road, Upper Knowle, Bristol.  From Temple Meads Station go up the A37 and turn left at The George Pub.

Opening Hours: We offer appointments only, at a time to suit you, including evenings or Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

We can put your dress on our rail for you.  We only sell modern dresses, i.e gowns less than about five years old, or gowns in a modern style.  Unfortunately, we can't take "vintage" gowns e.g. Victorian styles, Lady Di styles (e.g. puff sleeves, shiny bridal satin, lots of roses, etc.) or earlier.

NB Unfortunately there are so many brides out there wanting to sell their gowns that we have been inundated and are unlikely to have space for any more gowns for a while.  Feel free to email photos to us though and we will keep you on file in case we get a request for a specific design of dress that may match yours.
